Frequently Asked Questions

1) How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Although the official answer is that you should allow 28 days for delivery, if we have your item(s) in stock, we aim to dispatch them as soon as your payment is confirmed. At busy times it may take two or three days to dispatch even 'in stock' items. If we do not have your item(s) in stock, we have to order them from our suppliers, and the time that this takes can very widely, from just a few days, to weeks for items coming from America. Whatever happens, if there is a delay we will keep you informed.

2) Does someone have to be at home to sign for my order?

All orders must be signed for. If no-one is likely to be at home, you have serveral choices:

a) Let us know an alternative address, where someone will be at home to sign for your order.

b) Have your order delivered to your work address.

c) Let the post office attempt to deliver it, even though you will be out. They will put a card through your door, and you can then collect your parcel from the Post Office.

3) How accurate are the sizings?

As you will know, sizing of clothes is not standardised in the UK. Sizes do vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. For this reason we have given you guidance to sizes on the website. Keep in mind, though, that for jods and breeches, and for stretch blouses, there is ample 'give' in the fabric. This makes sizing less critical, and also allows for weight fluctuations.

4) Do I have to pay postage for returns?

Yes, you do, unless we have either sent you the wrong item, or the item we sent you is faulty. Please read the 'Postage' section of the website for full details.

5) Can I buy items in smaller sizes than a size 16?

About half of the items stocked are available in smaller sizes, and these can make excellent gifts for friends. Use the 'Contact Us' facility to send an enquiry, and we will get back to you with a reply.
